Building the AI Second Brain

A deep dive into the architecture of persistent memory systems for cognitive assistants.

Information overload is a significant challenge for product managers. To combat this, I engineered an AI-powered cognitive assistant modeled after brain architecture.

Core Architecture

The system relies on persistent memory systems to optimize information retention and task prioritization. By utilizing vector databases and semantic search, the assistant can recall context from months ago, effectively acting as an extension of the user's memory.

First-Principles Approach

When designing the 3D visualization interface, we took a first-principles approach to knowledge management. Instead of traditional folder structures, information is mapped spatially, allowing for intuitive navigation and discovery of interconnected concepts.

This approach has drastically enhanced productivity, especially during high-pressure, time-constrained projects.
